Man injured in Yuen Long playground robbery, HK$2,000 in cash snatched

22nd April 2024 – (Hong Kong) A robbery took place at a children’s playground on Yuen Long Hong Lok Road early morning today. Around 2.30am, a male individual was using the restroom when three men, aged approximately 20 to 25, forcefully entered and attacked him with punches. Overwhelmed by their six hands against his two, the victim was knocked to the ground and injured. Seizing the opportunity, one of the assailants snatched around HK$2,000 in cash from the victim before they all fled through the exit. The victim promptly reported the incident and sought assistance.

Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the report and found the injured victim, identified as Mr. Hui (35), with injuries to his mouth and face. He was conscious and immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Following an investigation, authorities have categorized the case as a “robbery” and are currently in pursuit of the three suspects.
