21st May 2025 – (Hong Kong) A fatal incident unfolded in Kowloon Bay on Tuesday evening at around 10pm, involving a KMB bus on route 1A departing from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier towards Sau Mau Ping. As the bus approached Choi Wan Road near Tak Bo Garden, an elderly man reportedly emerged from Kwun Tong Road, attempting to cross the street. Moving from right to left, he reached the front of the bus, where he was struck and thrown approximately 8 meters by the bus’s left front end.
The injured pedestrian was found unconscious and transported by ambulance to United Christian Hospital for medical attention, before succumbing to his injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading to the collision. At the scene, blood stains were visible on the road, with the bus’s left front windshield cracked, and a lone shoe left at the rear of the vehicle. The bus driver was taken for questioning by the police to shed light on the details of the accident.
