5th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 7.09am today, a passerby was taking a morning walk along Chun Wan Road exercise trail in Sau Mau Ping when he discovered a man who appeared to have hanged himself from a tree with a pair of jeans on a hillside. The passerby immediately reported the incident to the authorities for assistance. The firefighters arrived at the scene and climbed up the hillside to rescue the man, but unfortunately, he was already dead when they examined him.
The authorities covered the body of the deceased with a tent and discovered a suicide note on his person. It is believed that the man was about 40 years old, and the authorities have not ruled out the possibility that he may have taken his own life due to financial difficulties. During the incident, an elderly woman witnessed the man’s tragic hanging and was so frightened that she required the assistance of paramedics to get down the hill and rest in an ambulance.
