Man found dead in sea off Tai Po Kau Lo Wai

2nd April 2023 – (Hong Kong) A man believed to be in his 50s or 60s was found dead in the sea off Tai Po Kau Lo Wai on 2nd April. The incident occurred at around 3pm near Tolo Highway. The man was spotted floating in the water by local fishermen, who then reported the matter to the authorities.

Upon receiving the report, the fire department immediately dispatched a rescue team to the scene. The team managed to retrieve the man from the water and bring him to the shore. However, it was discovered upon examination that the man had already passed away. The body had started to bloat and was subsequently covered with a green tent.

According to law enforcement officials who arrived at the scene, no suicide note or identification documents were found on the man. He was described as being between 1.6 to 1.7 metres tall, with a heavy build and black Mediterranean hair. He was wearing red and grey checkered shorts at the time of the incident.

Investigations are currently underway to determine the man’s identity and the cause of his death. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
