31st May 2023 – (Hong Kong) At 8.34am this morning, a staff member at Four Points by Sheraton Hong Kong, Tung Chung, located at 9 Yi Tung Road, discovered an unusual odour emanating from one of the hotel rooms. After knocking on the door and receiving no response, the staff member used a spare key card to enter the room and found a male guest lying unconscious inside. The staff member immediately called for help, and paramedics arrived shortly after. However, upon examination, the man was pronounced dead. The man’s identity and cause of death are still under investigation.
According to sources, the man’s wife had previously reported him missing after he left their residence yesterday afternoon (May 30) and failed to make contact. It is not being ruled out that the man may have committed suicide in the hotel room. Investigators are currently gathering information on the man’s recent activities and mental state to determine the cause of the incident.
