24th May 2020 – (Hong Kong) A car accident occurred in Fanling at 10pm last night (23rd). A man surnamed Lai (35 years old) drove a Nissan GTR with his 60-year-old father along Ping Che Road to Sha Tau Kok Highway. When driving near Ping Che village, it rammed into a 15-meter iron fence beside the road and fell into a slope of about one meter in depth. The driver was seriously injured on the spot while his father also had head and hand injuries. He repetitively told his son to stay awake as he was losing consciousness. Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene and the two were sent to the hospital. However, the driver was certified deceased eventually.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the accident. Thhe wrecked car was registered in 2015 under a woman’s name ‘Lai’.
