15th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) An apartment caught fire at 60, Fuk Lo Tsun Road in Kowloon City. Many civilians called the police for help while firemen rushed to the scene to put out the flames in 28 minutes. 50 residents were evacuated from the walk-up apartment.
During the fire, 2 residents were injured including the owner who burned his both hands. One other woman inhaled large amount of smoke and felt unwell. Both were sent to hospital. After preliminary investigations, police were suspicious of the cause of fire. According to sources, a couple was living in the apartment. The incident happened after a pile of laundry caught when both of them engaged in brawl. The male owner was subsequently arrested for arson.
