1st April 2023 – (Hong Kong) In the early hours of today, a middle-aged man was robbed of his gold chain by a suspected thief in Tai Po district. The incident occurred at around 10.14am when the victim was approached by a woman on the street who lured him to a subdivided flat at 5, Wai Yi Street.
Once inside the flat, the victim noticed that his gold chain was missing and suspected that the woman had stolen it. He immediately confronted her but found nothing on her person when he checked her belongings. Frustrated and angry, he reported the incident to the authorities and filed a theft complaint against the woman.
The police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported but the suspect had already fled. The case is currently being investigated as a theft and the police are actively searching for the suspect.
