3rd December 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 9.30am today, a male worker was pushing a trolley with two steel panels at the junction of Man On Street and Wai On Street in Tai Kok Tsui. While pushing the cart onto the pedestrian payment, one of the panels fell on him and he collapsed near a street washer. The driver of the street washer immediately got off from his vehicle and called the police. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, he was unconscious as the panel fell onto his body. Several passersby helped to remove the steel panel from his body.
According to sources, the man recently secured a contract from a bank branch nearby to install additional steel panels on the exterior to prevent vandalism. Each steel panel measured 5′ X 4′ and weighed around 1.5 tonnes.
