Male protester assaulted in Tsuen Wan and dies at Yan Chai Hospital


14th November 2019 – (Hong Kong) At 10.33pm yesterday, a protester was allegedly assaulted and pushed to the ground outside Kerry Logistics on Kwai Fuk Road in Tsuen Wan. A passerby who saw the unconscious man immediately called the police for help. Ambulance rushed to the scene and found many injuries on his body and fracture on his arm. CPR was performed by paramedics as his heartbeat stopped.

He was immediately rushed to Yan Chai Hospital for emergency treatment via an ambulance with licence plate no. A 137. However, he was subsequently pronounced dead at 11pm yesterday after doctors failed to resurrect him.

Police are currently investigating the cause of death and motive behind the attack.
