Malaysian preacher calls on govt to ban BLACKPINK concert in KL ahead of Ramadan

26th January 2023 – (Kuala Lumpur) After the recent stopover in muslims populated Malaysia, BLACKPINK World Tour 2023 will perform in Saudi Arabia, UAE before heading to Malaysia to perform at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on 4th March 2023.

According to Fly FM Malaysia, a freelance preacher, Syed Mohd Bakri Syed Ishak, better known as PU Syed has objected to the concert of South Korean girlband BLACKPINK, set to take place in Malaysia in March 2023 ahead of Ramadan, the fasting month for muslims. “Agents of dajjal (the Deceitful Messiah) are sneakily slipping their way into Muslim countries more and more,” he noted in the caption, alongside a screenshot of a text he received whereby the sender likened allowing BLACKPINK into the nation to welcoming the dajjal.

This comes merely days after PU Syed published his personal view on Instagram regarding the Billie Eilish concert that took place last Friday.

Meanwhile, PU Syed said that there was an attempt to bring in another K-Pop group, BTS for a performance back in 2019, which failed to happen. He stated that he has been protesting against concerts in Malaysia since October last year.
