Mainland Chinese group clad in red gather outside Princess Margaret Hospital

14th August 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 1.30pm today, many medical staff gathered at different hospital in silent protest to condemn police brutality after a girl ruptured her eye.

A group of mainland Chinese gathered suddenly in front of Princess Margaret Hospital, Kwai Chung wearing red T-shirts with a mini blue t-shirt printed in front of each of them. The caption says ‘We support Hong Kong Police, you can beat me now’. The caption seems to mock the protesters who mobbed, assaulted and falsely imprisoned a Chinese Global Times reporter at the airport yesterday. A blue ‘I LOVE HK Police’ T-shirt was found in his bag.
