29th March 2023 – (Jerusalem) Israeli basketball club Maccabi Tel Aviv secured a resounding 111-80 victory against Italy’s Virtus Bologna in the 31st round of the EuroLeague on Tuesday. The match was played at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv, with Maccabi dominating from the first quarter onwards.
Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Bonzie Colson and Jarell Martin played a crucial role in inspiring the team to take an early lead in the game. They helped Maccabi secure a 28-13 lead in the first quarter, leaving Virtus Bologna struggling to keep up with their opponents.
Roman Sorkin and Darrun Hilliard continued Maccabi’s impressive performance, helping the team maintain their lead throughout the game. By halftime, Maccabi had secured a decisive 62-33 lead, with Virtus Bologna struggling to find a way back into the match.
Darrun Hilliard emerged as the top scorer for Maccabi Tel Aviv, contributing 16 points to the team’s total score. His teammates Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin also played an important role, scoring 14 points each and adding eight and seven assists respectively.
