5th July 2020 – (Macau) The Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center of China’s Macao Special Administrative Region announced that, according to the notification of the Zhuhai Municipal Government, after consultation between the governments of Guangdong, Macao and Zhuhai, from 8am tomorrow (6th), 3,000 Macao personnel in business, commercial and other services will be exempted from quarantine daily, the exemption will be valid for 7 days, and the scope of activities is expanded to 9 cities in the Greater Bay Area, no longer limited to Zhuhai.
Within 14 days after the person enters Zhuhai, the scope of activities is limited to 9 cities in the Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing. After 14 days, they can go to other cities in the province. People who have been exempted from quarantine can still only enter and leave via Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Port and Hengqin Port. The Zhuhai authorities reminded that once activities extended beyond the prescribed scope, they may be subjected to centralised quarantine medical observation by the epidemic prevention and control departments of other cities. Those who violate the relevant regulations of epidemic prevention and control will be disqualified from the exemption.
