M+ Museum to close on Christmas and New Year’s Day


1st December 2021 – (Hong Kong) The M+ Museum in the West Kowloon Cultural District announced today (1st December) that due to the expected large number of visitors during Christmas, New Year’s Eve and holidays, it will not accept visitors without reservation. Except on Mondays, M+ will be closed on Christmas Day (25th December), 27th December, New Year’s Day (1st January), and the first and second day of Lunar New Year (1st and 2nd February).

The M+ Museum will remain open on other public holidays, including the day following Christmas (26th December). The opening hours are from 10am to 6pm. As for New Year’s Eve (31st December), as there will be a large-scale countdown event in West Kowloon that night, the museum will be closed at 2pm. M+ also announced that it will open the admission period on or before 2nd January next year at 6pm tonight for visitors to make reservations on the designated online platform. Afterwards, every Wednesday at 6pm, the platform will open an additional week of admission and visit time for visitors to make online appointments until further notice. Members of the public can make reservations for visits on designated platforms through the M+ website, the West Kowloon website or the “West Kowloon Cultural District” mobile app.
