10th June 2023 – (Hong Kong) A theft occurred at a fashion store in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday afternoon. A 29-year-old female staff member reported to the police at around 5pm that a non-Chinese man of about 40 years old and approximately 1.8 meters tall had stolen five handbags worth around HK$230,000 from the store located at 40 Mody Road.

The store in question, “Deco Shop,” sells both new and second-hand branded handbags. The store posted on Instagram tonight, claiming that they had been robbed of the bags, including a Chanel Classic 25 leather V-pattern handbag, a Hermès Lindy 26 swift dark green silver buckle handbag, a Hermès Lindy 30 black silver buckle handbag, a Hermès Mini 24 purple colour block handbag, and a Hermès Mini Evelyne 8W silver buckle handbag. The post also provided a contact phone number and uploaded CCTV footage of the incident, urging anyone who sees the bags to notify the store.

The CCTV footage uploaded by the store shows a non-Chinese man with golden hair, wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, dark-colored pants, and a mask, entering the store. He then walks to the nearest shelf, bends down, takes five handbags, and leaves the store within 10 seconds.

The police have classified the case as a theft and have handed it over to the Crime Investigation Team of Yau Tsim Mong District for follow-up investigation. No one has been arrested yet.
