Lockdown testings at Sai Wan Estate in Kennedy Town, On Tai Estate in Kwun Tong and Ka Shing Court, Fanling till tomorrow

18th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) The Government today exercised the power under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) to make a “restriction-testing declaration” (declaration) effective from 6.30pm under which people (hereafter referred to as “persons subject to compulsory testing”) within the specified “restricted area” in Kennedy Town (i.e. West Terrace, Sai Wan Estate, Kennedy Town) are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Persons subject to compulsory testing are required to stay in their premises until all such persons identified in the “restricted area” have undergone testing and the test results are mostly ascertained. The Government aims at finishing this exercise at about 10am tomorrow. The operation may be extended depending on test results.

Lockdown testing has also been imposed in Kwun Tong (i.e. King Tai House, On Tai Estate, Kwun Tong, excluding the car park thereat and kindergarten on UG/F) are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Persons subject to compulsory testing are required to stay in their premises until all such persons identified in the “restricted area” have undergone testing and the test results are mostly ascertained. The Government aims at finishing this exercise at around noon tomorrow. The operation may be extended depending on test results.

Another lockdown testing was imposed in Fanling (i.e. Ka Yiu House, Ka Shing Court, Fanling, excluding the kindergarten on G/F) are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Persons subject to compulsory testing are required to stay in their premises until all such persons identified in the “restricted area” have undergone testing and the test results are mostly ascertained. The Government aims at finishing this exercise at around 10am tomorrow. The operation may be extended depending on test results.
