Lockdown testing at Yiu Kwai House, Yiu Tung Estate, Shau Kei Wan till 10am tomorrow

23rd June 2022 – (Hong Kong) The Government today (June 23) exercised the power under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Compulsory Testing for Certain Persons) Regulation (Cap. 599J) to make a “restriction-testing declaration” effective from 6pm, under which people (hereafter referred to as “persons subject to compulsory testing”) within the specified “restricted area” in Shau Kei Wan (i.e. Yiu Kwai House, Yiu Tung Estate, Shau Kei Wan, excluding social service unit and other non-domestic units on G/F) are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing. Persons subject to compulsory testing are required to stay in their premises until all such persons identified in the “restricted area” have undergone testing and the test results are mostly ascertained. The Government aims at finishing this exercise at around 10am tomorrow. The operation may be extended depending on test results.
