7th October 2019 – (Hong Kong) At around 6.30pm today, many civilians gathered outside Exit B1 of Prince Edward MTR Station to lay flowers after the area was cleared early morning. There were also some others who placed flowers in front of the exit this afternoon.
Meanwhile, some police officers splashed blue-dye liquid outside Mong Kok Police Station. More protesters started to assemble outside Mong Kok Police Station at 7.30pm, some of them removed bricks from pedestrian pavement, garbage bins, traffic barriers, minibus stop signages and placed them at the junction between Nathan Road and Prince Edward Road West. Police warned the protesters to disperse immediately or risk being arrested. Police started to deploy tear gas rounds at 7.36pm and a taxi knocked down a girl on Nathan Road resulting in protesters to surround the taxi driver. Riot police started to commence clearance on Nathan Road at 7.40pm. Police warned protesters to stop destroying public amenities at around 9pm. Tear gas rounds were again fired near Mong Kok Police Station at 9pm before riot police manhandled 5 protesters to the ground on Nathan Road.
In Sha Tin, some masked rioters smashed glass in shopping centres, broke through a roll-up gate before storming the Sha Tin Wai MTR Station to wreck facilities including turnstile and ticket machines, and damaged traffic lights. In Tsuen Wan, some masked rioters broke roll-up gates of MTR stations; whereas in Tuen Mun and Tai Koo, they occupied roads illegally.
Police also arrested protester near Bauhinia Garden in Tseung Kwan O at 9.40pm. Black flag was also hoisted on Castle Peak Road in Yuen Long at 9.48pm. Black flag was hoisted in front of Grand Plaza at 9.40pm.
12.11am – Riot police cleared barricades junction between Mong Kok Road and Nathan Road.
11.57pm – More riot police arrive on Nathan Road in Mong Kok.
11.44pm – Many protesters arrested by police in Wong Tai Sin.
11.36pm – Riot police clear barricades in Tai Po.
11.30pm – Firemen extinguish flames set to barricades by protesters in Yuen Long.
11.15pm – Protesters set fire again on Castle Peak Road in Yuen Long while firemen rush to the scene to put out the flames.
