Among the photos was a shot showing Liu alongside a senior executive; online users later noted that the original image also featured Vietnamese star Ho Ngoc Ha. The version shared on Liu’s account appeared to exclude Ho, and part of the executive was visibly cropped. The posts were subsequently taken down amid a surge of critical comments questioning etiquette and inclusivity at high‑profile events.
Ho Ngoc Ha responded by sharing the full photograph and striking a conciliatory tone, complimenting Liu as beautiful and charming in person. Her reaction drew supportive messages from Vietnamese and regional fans, even as some commentators accused Liu of arrogance. Others suggested the incident could have been an error in promotional handling rather than a deliberate slight. As of publication, Liu and her team had not issued a formal response.
