19th May 2020 – (Hong Kong) Dang Wen li by Dominique Ansel which opened in January in Harbour City this year is finally bringing their famed Cronuts to Hong Kong! A Cronut is a croissant-doughnut pastry invented by New York City pastry chef Dominique Ansel of Dominique Ansel Bakery. The pastry resembles a doughnut and is made from croissant-like dough which is filled with flavoured cream and fried in grapeseed oil.
The limited-edition Cronut (HK$48) is scheduled to be launched on 22nd May and 7th June. The Cronut is stuffed with homemade lychee jam and jasmine ganache. You can only taste this in Hong Kong for a limited time only. Each customer can only purchase up to six Cronuts.
