Lennon Wall at ‘No Boundary’ restaurant in Causeway Bay replaced with blank Post-It Notes

3rd July 2020 – (Hong Kong) At 10am yesterday, 4 police officers arrived at  ‘Bowl and Plate’ on Main Street East, Shau Kei Wan to tell the owner that the Lennon Wall and other anti-government posters on the wall might violate the National Security Law, and the shop was then closed to remove the related offensive items. Police said that the eatery is a public place when it’s open for business.

Many ‘yellow’ restaurants who support protesters have removed posters/Post-it Notes that contained anti-government messages. One of them, No Boundary restaurant located at G/F, 9 Haven Street, Causeway Bay removed all the Post-It notes with messages on its Lennon Wall yesterday and replaced them with empty notes. The person-in-charge, Ivan said that most pro-democracy supporters will understand and visualise the ‘anti-government’ messages’ when they see the blank notes.

Police have yet to check on No Boundary but the move was a pre-cautionary measure.
