20th August 2023 – (Hong Kong) Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, a member of the Executive Council, often engages in visits to various places with her party colleagues. Today, on the 20th, they visited Hang Seng University for an event. Not only were her party friends and professionals present, but there was also a young child accompanying them.
The child turned out to be the eldest daughter of her party friend Eunice Yung, named Yuen Chang-wai. Ip Lau explained that Eunice is a working mother, so it’s inevitable for her to bring her daughter along to such events. Does this cause any inconvenience? Ip Lau reassured that it doesn’t, as Chang-wai is well-behaved and intelligent. When meeting everyone, she not only initiates handshakes and greetings but also sits quietly to draw when adults are engaged in conversation.
Upon witnessing this scene, Eunice likened her to a student taking notes in a university lecture. At the young age of 4, she is already “attending university.” Eunice expressed her comfort and pride in this. In fact, this is not Chang-wai’s first time accompanying Eunice on visits. Earlier this month, they visited The Wai shopping mall in Tai Wai together with Ip Lau. During the visit, Ip Lau praised Chang-wai for being well-behaved and clever. Whenever she sees a camera, she even poses in various funny and adorable ways.
