2nd April 2023 – (Hong Kong) The much-awaited “Reminiscing Leslie Live” tribute concert for Leslie Cheung’s 20th Anniversary was held on yesterday evening at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wan Chai, featuring a star-studded lineup of performers. The concert brought together some of the most prominent names in the music industry, including Leon Lai, Kelly Chen, William So, Edmund Leung, AGA, Gigi Yim Ming-hay, Andy Hui, Gigi Leung, Mike Tsang, Bitto, P1X3L, JNYBeatz, Kerryta, among others, making it a grand celebration of Leslie’s life and legacy.
The concert began at 8.30pm with Leon Lai as the opening performer. As soon as he uttered the first few words, “Lightly said”, the audience erupted in cheers. Following this, Leon went on to sing two more popular tracks, before expressing his gratitude towards the audience.
The concert was a nostalgic journey for many of Leslie’s fans who came to pay tribute to the late Cantopop star, who passed away in 2003. Leslie’s music continues to resonate with his fans, and this concert provided a platform to relive his songs and celebrate his life.
