27th June 2019 – (Hong Kong) – The lavender plant is aptly named after the beautiful color of its leaves. There are 47 different species of the plant with the leaves ranging in shades of violet, lilac, and blue. They grow best in dry, well-drained, sandy soil and are commonly planted in home gardens and on lavender farms.
The good news now is, you don’t need to fly to Provence, France to see the magnificent lavender field, instead, you can visit a man-made 3,000 sqf indoor lavender garden on 3rd floor rooftop of New Town Plaza Phase 1 and 2nd floor of New Town Plaza Phase 3 in Sha Tin from 13th July to 25th August (12pm to 10pm daily). The theme of the lavender garden is ‘ Lavender Romance in Town’ .
Entrance is FREE.
