29th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) At around 3pm today, a KMB bus 69X travelling towards Tuen Mun on Tin Fuk Road lost control and crashed into a stone barrier and iron fence opposite Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda. The bus then crossed the opposite lane and hit the roadside water-filled barricade before coming to a stop. The driver reported sustaining injuries to his legs, while all passengers were unharmed. Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
A video recording of the accident, captured by a dashboard camera, shows the bus pulling out of the bus stop near the MTR Tin Shui Wai Station. The bus swerves to the right and drives across two lanes before colliding with the central barrier fence. The bus then crashes into the iron fence, destroying approximately 10 meters of the barrier, before continuing towards the opposite lane and hitting the water-filled barricade
