KKplus store opens as usual today after Teletubby sculpture incident, manager admits fault for not protecting the display item


24th May 2022 – (Hong Kong) A 5-year-old boy accidentally broke the   Teletubby  sculpture at the toy store KKplus in Langham Place, Mong Kok. The parents compensated HK$32,600 at “cost price”. KKplus issued a statement in the early morning saying that the incident was “completely resolved with the consent of both parties”, and the relevant statement had been deleted by 10am in the morning.

At 12pm, KKplus store opened as usual today and business was brisk. The manager, Lui said that the head office has contacted the family involved, and it is believed that a statement will be issued later. The protection measures for future displays in the store will be reviewed. Regarding this incident, he admitted that it was the fault of the store for not protecting its display. He also emphasised that the incident unintended.
