Kam Kee Holdings Limited faces legal action from MPFA for over HK$3.1 million

23rd May 2024 – (Hong Kong) Kam Kee Holdings Limited, a renowned restaurant group, has faced a series of legal actions for overdue rent payments on multiple restaurant locations since the beginning of this year. The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) took the matter to the High Court yesterday (23rd), alleging that Kam Kee failed to make timely payments of employees’ mandatory provident fund contributions and related surcharges between February and March 2024. The MPFA is seeking to recover over HK$3.1 million in outstanding funds from the company. The plaintiff, MPFA, is taking legal action against the defendant, Kam Kee Holdings Limited.
