Jazz Marathon for International Jazz Day

It Don't Mean a Thing, If It Ain't Got That Swing.

In November 2011 the UNESCO General Conference proclaimed 30 April as “International Jazz Day” to bring the world together in celebration of the art of jazz and its significance.  According to the UNESCO, Jazz is “a force for peace, unity, dialogue and enhanced cooperation among people.”

In celebration of the International Jazz Day, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department has invited acclaimed international and local jazz musicians to present a series of workshops, and a large-scale jazz marathon concert that is rarely seen in Hong Kong.
