Japan’s Shoma Uno retains men’s title at World Figure Skating Championships

25th March 2023 – (Saitama) Shoma Uno has once again proven his mastery in men’s figure skating, as he successfully retained his title at the World Figure Skating Championships held in his home country. Uno’s performance was impressive, as he led the short program and executed five quadruple jumps during the free skate, giving him a total score of 301.14 points and securing the gold medal.

South Korea’s Cha Junhwan also performed exceptionally well, earning the silver medal with a total score of 296.03 points. Meanwhile, US teenager Ilia Malinin, who was in second place after the short program, was pushed to third place with a score of 288.44 points.
