21st April 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 11.49am yesterday, Disney Explorers Lodge, nestled along the enchanting Disney Magic Road, became the site of a horrific traffic accident. According to police reports, a tour bus collided with a female cyclist and resulted in the critical injury of a 39-year-old victim. The collision left Shirley Cornelia Hung, a barrister at Liberty Chambers, trapped beneath the vehicle, with a severe head injury.

Emergency rescue personnel rushed to the scene, working tirelessly to extricate Shirley from the precarious situation. She was later transported by ambulance to Princess Margaret Hospital.

Shirley Cornelia Hung is a triathlete and trail runner, participating in numerous competitions and garnering accolades along the way. Notably, she achieved an impressive second-place finish in the Hong Kong 10-kilometre Championship, crossing the finish line in an astounding 40 minutes. She also completed the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon in an impressive time of 3 hours and 16 minutes, earning her the moniker “Ms. Super Thousand.”

Beyond her athletic achievements, Shirley held a significant role as a temporary magistrate at the Tuen Mun Magistrates’ Court, where she contributed her extensive expertise to criminal cases.
