IKEA Macau to open tomorrow, online registration quota for the first two weeks full

22nd April 2020 – (Macau) IKEA, a Swedish-origin Dutch-headquartered multinational group that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other useful goods and occasionally home services has opened its first 90,000sqf store on the ground floor of Nova Park residential buildings in Taipa, Macau. There are also 600 parking lots reserved for their customers.

The store will open tomorrow and the online registration quota for the first two weeks of the opening is already full. IKEA has set restrictions on the number of visitors to its stores due to the current COVID-19 situation. Those wishing to visit must register online for a specific time slot. Each email address can only be used once for registration. Online registration will end one hour before each session starts and check-in will close 30 minutes before the session ends.

There are also temperature checks before entering and all customers must wear masks and fill up the personal health declaration by the Health Bureau (SSM).

The IKEA cafe and a supermarket selling Swedish products and other groceries are also open. Locals in Macau can now shop and dine without having to order from Hong Kong Stores anymore. IKEA used to run merchandise pick-up point in Macau offering delivery service across four Hong Kong stores to customers from Macau.
