Hybrid taxi collision in Tsuen Wan leaves three injured, vehicle overturned


21st April 2024 – (Hong Kong) At 1.05am today, a collision occurred between two taxis. A hybrid taxi, was traveling along Tai Chung Road towards the roundabout, intending to make a left turn onto Tsuen Wan Road. However, it collided with another taxi already within the roundabout. The impact caused the hybrid taxi to overturn in the middle of the road, trapping the driver and passengers momentarily inside. They managed to extricate themselves and await assistance while sustaining injuries, while the other taxi suffered significant damage to its front end.

Upon receiving the emergency call, paramedics promptly arrived at the scene. They transported the driver and passengers of the hybrid taxi to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the other taxi also reported sustaining injuries but did not require hospitalisation after receiving medical attention. Law enforcement officials have initiated an investigation into the incident. As a result of the collision, traffic in the area was temporarily disrupted.
