Hundreds queue at HSBC Mong Kok Branch to withdraw new banknotes ahead of Lunar New Year

14th January 2020 – (Hong Kong) At around 7.30am today, around 200 civilians were queuing in front of HSBC Bank branch in Mong Kok to withdraw new banknotes in preparation for Lunar New Year. HSBC arranged for their staff to assist the customers. At around 9am, there were still a few hundreds of customers queueing at the branch.

All HSBC bank branches are open from 8am daily to facilitate their customers to withdraw new banknotes. Special counters have been set up to provide customers with a special HK$3,000 banknote set containing 100 new HK$20 banknotes and 20 HK$50 banknotes.
