Hundreds of foreign domestic helpers gather in Mong Kok without observing social distancing rules


22nd November 2020 – (Hong Kong) The fourth wave of coronavirus has taken Hong Kong by storm and the number of confirmed cases has soared again. In Mong Kok today, nearly 300 foreign domestic helpers gathered on the footbridge connected to the Grand Century Place  in Mong Kok. They sat on the pavement on Nathan Road, to Sai Yee Street, they laid mats on both sides of the flyover, and placed food on the floor. Many were seen gathering in groups of more than 4 without masks.

Two police officers came to the scene to remind those present to observe social distancing rules but after the police left, the foreign domestic helper continued to gather.
