6th January 2021 – (Hong Kong) Sources confirmed that the Treasurer of ‘Power for Democracy’ and the lawyer at HO TSE WAI & PARTNERS, John Clancey was also arrested this morning. The police arrived at the HO TSE WAI & PARTNERS where he worked for a search.
John Clancey is an American human rights lawyer who is a resident in Hong Kong. He has coordinated the democratic party to participate in the Legislative Council and District Council elections on many occasions, including hosting the earlier Democratic primary elections. He is also the International Affairs Secretary of the China Human Rights Lawyers Concern Group Council and the Chairman of the Asian Human Rights Commission.
