17th March 2026 – (Hong Kong) CLP has launched a HK$30 million Energy Efficient Appliance Replacement Scheme to help disadvantaged households replace high‑consumption appliances with Grade 1 energy‑label models and reduce long‑term electricity costs. The subsidy covers 70% of the order value made via the Domeo platform, capped at HK$2,700 per appliance. Each eligible electricity account can receive the subsidy once only, and each successful applicant may buy up to two appliance categories, limited to one item per category. Customers who received support under the 2025 Inverter Air Conditioner Replacement Subsidy Scheme are not eligible. All eligible inverter air conditioners, electric water heaters, refrigerators and washing machines are registered with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department; details are available on the EMSD website.
The scheme runs in two phases. Phase 1 covers inverter air conditioners and electric water heaters with around 5,000 quotas, and accepts applications from 17th – 23rd March 2026. Results will be issued by email from 30th March – 9th April 2026, and purchases will begin on 30th March with the exact timeslot advised by email. Phase 2 covers inverter air conditioners, electric water heaters, refrigerators and washing machines with around 6,000 quotas, and accepts applications from 27th April – 3rd May 2026. Results will be sent between 12th – 15th May 2026, with purchases commencing on 12th May and the specific timeslot notified by email. Quotas are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Dates are subject to change and the latest information on the scheme page will prevail.
Applicants must be Hong Kong residents for at least one year, hold a CLP residential electricity account, and meet at least one qualifying criterion. Eligible elderly aged 65 or above must be receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance or the Old Age Living Allowance. Low‑income families must be receiving the Working Family Allowance, Comprehensive Social Security Assistance, a Full Grant under the School Textbook Assistance Scheme, or full remission under the Kindergarten and Child Care Centre Fee Remission Scheme. Persons with disabilities must hold a Registration Card for People with Disabilities, or be receiving CSSA with Transport Supplement, or Disability Allowance under the Social Security Allowance Scheme. Applicants who meet both the elderly and disability criteria, and submit valid documents at the time of application, will be treated as Special Eligibility Applicants. If approved, they may receive 70% of the selling price per appliance or HK$2,700 per appliance, whichever is lower, for up to two categories, with one product per category. The quota for Special Eligibility Applicants is limited and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis; incomplete documentation or a full quota will result in processing as a general application.
Before applying, prepare your CLP account number and ensure the electricity supply address matches the intended delivery address. Provide a Domeo login email or another valid email address, as all results are communicated solely by email. If you do not have a Domeo account, create or activate one in advance. Have electronic copies of the required eligibility documents for online applications, or photocopies for in‑person submissions, and decide which appliance categories you intend to purchase. If an application is unsuccessful in Phase 1, you may submit a new application in Phase 2. Each applicant can receive the subsidy only once under the entire scheme. No supplementary information will be accepted after submission, so ensure the application is complete and accurate.
Eligible persons may apply online or in person during the relevant phase. For Phase 1, submit applications from 17th – 23rd March 2026, with approximately 5,000 places available on a first‑come, first‑served basis; results will be emailed between 30th March – 9th April 2026. For Phase 2, apply from 27th April – 3rd May 2026, with approximately 6,000 places available on a first‑come, first‑served basis; results will be emailed between 12th – 15th May 2026. When applying online, completing the purchase online and providing a valid Domeo login email may entitle you to an extra reward on specified models. For in‑person applications, submit the completed form, a recent CLP electricity bill and copies of the required eligibility documents at a CLP Customer Service Centre during the applicable application window.
After approval, CLP will verify eligibility in the order applications were received and will issue a one‑time “unique promo code” to complete the purchase using the method selected in your application within the assigned timeslot. For online purchases, log in to the designated Domeo link during your assigned timeslot, select the appliance, add it to the cart, enter the promo code at checkout to apply the subsidy and pay the remaining balance. The supplier will then arrange delivery and installation. For in‑store purchases, a representative will call to schedule your purchase timeslot. Attend the designated store at the booked time with your approval email and promo code, select your appliance, present the documents to staff and pay the balance. The supplier will arrange delivery and installation. Stock levels online and in store are synchronised, quantities are limited and allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and failure to complete the purchase within the assigned timeslot will be treated as forfeiting the quota.
Do not share your promo code. No reissue, refund or compensation will be provided for any loss or unauthorised use. Only one promo code may be used per order and each code can be used once only. The delivery address must match the electricity supply address associated with the application or the approval will be cancelled. Some in‑store purchases may require a site inspection; please check with staff. Extra rewards apply only to specified models, are subject to availability and will be delivered with the appliance. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval; monitor your email for the outcome. Applications containing missing or inaccurate information will be deemed invalid. Separate arrangements apply for Wang Fuk Court customers; please refer to the dedicated notice.
