Hong Kong Winterfest 2022 to be suspended for one day on 6th December, media preview by Ocean Park on the same day also postponed


3rd December 2022 – (Hong Kong) In line with the government’s arrangement to commemorate former President Jiang Zemin, the Hong Kong Tourism Board’s “Hong Kong Winterfest 2022” will be suspended for one day next Tuesday (6th) and  WinterFest Christmas Town in the Art Park of the West Kowloon Cultural District on the same day will be temporarily closed. In addition, Ocean Park stated that the media preview of the Christmas-themed event originally scheduled to be held next Tuesday will be postponed to the 12th of this month. The announcement issued by Ocean Park did not explain the reason for the rescheduling. The government announced that since the memorial service for former President Jiang Zemin will be held next Tuesday, and government officials will not attend any public entertainment activities on that day, all entertainment and celebration activities organised or funded by the government should be postponed or canceled according to the situation, and also called on industry organisations or organisations to postpone or cancel all entertainment and celebrations for the day.
