Hong Kong to host FIBA 3×3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament, receives “M” Mark status


9th April 2024 – (Hong Kong) The FIBA 3×3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 1 is set to take place in the city for the first time. Scheduled from 12th to 14th April at Victoria Park, this prestigious event has been awarded the coveted “M” Mark status by the Major Sports Events Committee (MSEC).

Mr. Wilfred Ng, Chairman of the MSEC, expressed his enthusiasm for this tournament, highlighting its significance in showcasing Hong Kong’s ability to host world-class sports events and fostering sports development. He emphasized that the event will not only bring liveliness and vibrancy to Hong Kong but also attract visitors from around the world, further solidifying Hong Kong’s position as a hub for major international sports events.
