The Hong Kong Cup dragon boat race was one of the featured competitions at this year’s event. It was sponsored by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo (Tokyo ETO). The winning trophy for the Hong Kong Cup race was presented by Miss Winsome Au, Principal Hong Kong Economic and Trade Representative based in Tokyo.
Representatives from the Tokyo ETO also set up a booth at Yamashita Park, where the races were held. They showcased Hong Kong culture and industries to the large number of spectators who gathered for the event.
The Tokyo ETO seeks to promote cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Japan through sponsoring the Hong Kong Cup race and participating actively every year. The office also aims to enhance Japanese people’s understanding of Hong Kong and its latest developments.
