29th April 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Space Museum will be showcasing a new sky show called “Mars 1001” at its Space Theatre from May 1st. The 42-minute show will take audiences on a virtual journey following astronauts on a fictional 1,001-day mission to explore the red planet. While the first manned mission to the Moon happened over half a century ago, the Mars mission poses a greater challenge due to its immense distance and requires more advanced technology and greater risks.

“Mars 1001” offers audiences the chance to experience the thrill of landing on Mars for the first time. The show will run until 31st January, 2024, with screening times at 3.30pm and 8pm on weekdays, and 2pm and 6.30pm on weekends and public holidays. Tickets are priced at $24 (front stalls) and $32 (stalls) and are available at the Hong Kong Space Museum Box Office and URBTIX.
