3rd June 2023 – (Hong Kong) Eason Chan, the renowned Hong Kong singer and actor, was recently spotted enjoying some local delicacies at a street-side tea shop in Tai Hang. The 48-year-old star was captured by netizens, sitting opposite a mysterious woman, while they both sipped tea and had a chat. In the photo, Eason was seen wearing a blue T-shirt and black shorts, laughing heartily while enjoying the conversation. The photo was shared widely on social media, with many fans wondering about the identity of his companion.
Some speculated that the woman might be Eason’s wife, former actress Hilary Tsui, while others guessed that it could be his daughter or his manager. However, some eagle-eyed fans pointed out that the woman’s hair colour was different from Tsui’s recent blonde locks, indicating that it was unlikely to be her. Despite the identity of the woman remaining unknown, Hilary shared a photo on social media the following day featuring Eason sitting across from her in a Wan Chai tea shop, enjoying some delicious beef brisket noodles and rice noodles. The couple appeared to be in good spirits, enjoying each other’s company, and having a low-key date.
Eason and Hilary have always kept a low profile and tend to avoid public displays of affection. However, the rare photo shared by Hilary on social media was a pleasant surprise for fans, who were delighted to see the couple in a relaxed and happy state. The couple has been married since 2006 and has a daughter together.
Eason’s music has won him numerous accolades and awards, including several Golden Melody Awards for Best Mandarin Male Singer and Best Mandarin Album. He is also a successful actor and has appeared in several films and TV dramas. His net worth was estimated to be HK$100 million in 2014, and he has been named the Best Mandarin Male Singer three times.
Despite his success, Eason has had his share of challenges, including a severe groin injury suffered during a concert in Taiwan in 2002. As a result, one of his testicles had to be surgically removed, but he has since recovered fully. In addition, he revealed during his “Life Concert 2013” that he had suffered from bipolar disorder and phobia of large crowds.
In 2020, Eason was appointed as the ambassador for the “Shall We Talk” initiative, which aims to promote mental health and raise awareness about mental well-being. His classic Canto-pop song, “Shall We Talk”, was chosen as the theme song for the campaign.
