16th May 2024 – (Hong Kong) The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has announced that the highly anticipated grand finale of the 3×3 World Tour season will take place in Hong Kong, China on 23rd – 24th November. This marks the first time that Hong Kong will host this prestigious event, providing the host team with a unique opportunity to compete in the season-ending stop of the 2024 World Tour.

In accordance with the competition rules, the top 11 teams in the season standings will automatically secure their spots in the Hong Kong Final. The 12th-ranked team, along with the host team (Hong Kong), and the team with the highest combined wins from the Challenger and World Tour events (excluding those already qualified) will vie for the remaining spot in a thrilling play-in event.

Alex Sanchez, the Managing Director of FIBA 3×3, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating, “The 13th edition of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final in Hong Kong is a testament to the city’s growing importance in the 3×3 community and its ability to host world-class sporting events. Following the success of our World Tour events in the past two years and the recent FIBA 3×3 Universality Olympic qualifying tournament, it was a natural step to bring our biggest pro tour event to this vibrant city.”

One team to watch out for during the grand finale is Ub Huishan NE from Serbia, who are aiming to secure their third consecutive title this season. The World Tour, featuring 17 stops across the globe, has captured the attention of basketball enthusiasts worldwide, and the anticipation for the grand finale in Hong Kong is palpable.
