22nd February 2024 – (Hong Kong) In an effort to bring together the vibrant arts and cultural scene of Hong Kong, the Launching Ceremony of Art March 2024 took place today. The event, organised by the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, aims to showcase a multitude of international and local arts and cultural events throughout the month of March.

Art March has been established as a brand to promote various events that are organised, funded, or supported by the Hong Kong government. The Bureau has worked tirelessly to collaborate with the arts and cultural sectors, ensuring a diverse range of offerings that will enrich the atmosphere of mega arts and cultural events in the city. This initiative seeks to provide an unforgettable experience for art enthusiasts and visitors alike, immersing them in the artistic vibe that permeates Hong Kong every March.

This year’s Art March highlights the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, showcasing Hong Kong as a centre for international cultural exchanges. From arts and culture to pop, television, and film, a wide array of events including exhibitions, film screenings, a cultural summit, and a fashion show will cater to individuals from all walks of life. The program features both recurring successful events from previous years and introduces new event brands, enhancing the already vibrant cultural landscape of the city.

Art March serves as a platform to exhibit the unique charm and diverse characteristics of Chinese culture in Hong Kong, contributing to the international influence of our country. Moreover, it aims to maximise the economic benefits derived from mega arts and cultural events. The Bureau encourages tourism-related industries such as hotels, retail, and catering to collaborate with the arts and cultural sectors to enhance the brand of Art March, providing citizens and visitors with an enriched artistic journey. Throughout March, exciting activities, including free ice cream distribution, tram rides, and Star Ferry rides, will be offered at various times to promote Art March and its diverse programs. Stay tuned for further details to be announced in March.
