Hong Kong government seeks bids for Kowloon public car park licence

Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices

23rd February 2024 – (Hong Kong) The Government Property Agency (GPA) of Hong Kong has officially opened the tender process for a three-year operating licence of a public car park located within the Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices in Kowloon. The announcement indicates the government’s intent to offer the facility, which spans several levels of the building at 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, to private operators.

The property in question, designated solely for the operation of a public car park serving private cars and motorcycles, is positioned in a bustling area of Kowloon, representing a significant opportunity for parking management firms.

Details of the tender were published on the GPA’s online portal, www.gpaproperty.gov.hk, on 23rd February. Prospective bidders are invited to collect the tender documents in person at the Government Property Agency on the 9th floor of the West Kowloon Government Offices. The documents are available during standard office hours from Monday to Friday and can also be downloaded directly from the GPA Property Portal.

The GPA has made provisions for interested parties to visit the site for inspection, subject to advance booking arrangements made by 1st March. This allows tenderers to assess the premises and fully understand the scope of the licence being offered.

The deadline for submitting tenders is set for noon on 15th March, with submissions to be made to the Tender Box at the Government Logistics Department in North Point. The GPA has made it clear that late submissions will not be considered, urging interested parties to act promptly.
