9th March 2023 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Flower Show 2023 will take place at Victoria Park from tomorrow to 19th March, running daily from 9am to 9pm. This year’s theme is “Bliss in Bloom”, with hydrangea as the theme flower. The show will display approximately 400,000 flowers, including 40,000 hydrangeas, providing a colourful and immersive experience for visitors.
The flower show will feature 225 organisations, including 72 exhibitors from 10 countries such as China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Visitors will enjoy a variety of installations, including an eye-catching three-dimensional hydrangea flower wall and garden, a sea of tulips and foxgloves, and a garden showcasing special hydrangeas and edible plants.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to witness a music and light show, taking place at 7.30pm and 8.30pm daily. To support environmental protection, the flower show will promote various eco-friendly and waste reduction measures, encouraging the public to implement the 3R principles – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
The flower show is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust serving as the major sponsor since 2014, supporting the event for the 11th consecutive year.
