23rd March 2023 – (Hong Kong) Hong Kong Disneyland’s main entrance, known for its iconic Mickey Mouse flower bed, has undergone a transformation recently. Duffy, the Disney bear, now takes centre stage as the new face of the theme park.
Fans of Duffy have expressed excitement about the change, while others have been less enthusiastic. The Mickey Mouse flower bed has been a symbol of the park’s entrance for years, and some fans feel that it should not have been replaced. A hashtag calling for the return of Mickey has even surfaced on social media.
However, fans of Duffy need not worry, as the new bear statue is only temporary. It has been installed to coincide with the “Duffy and Friends Play Days” experience in the park. Visitors can expect to see various “Duffy and Friends” decorations throughout the park.
