20th February 2026 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Art Toys Carnival opened today (20th February) at the South Pavilion Plaza in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, offering visitors a free showcase of locally created art toy designs and intellectual property.
Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and organised by the Hong Kong Brand Toy Association, the event was officially launched by Acting Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries Yvonne Ip. The carnival will run until 3rd March and is open to the public without charge.
A highlight of the event is the debut of seven newly unveiled, large‑scale inflatable figures based on popular original intellectual properties developed by Hong Kong art toy creative teams. Visitors who collect stamps representing each of the seven featured IPs can redeem a themed postcard set.
On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the exhibition period, two interactive game booths will operate on site. Participants who complete the challenges will receive limited‑edition spring couplets themed around the featured IP characters.
The carnival also showcases 12 original IP figures previously presented at the “Hong Kong Art Toys Expo”, along with the Hong Kong Art Toys Float, which made its first appearance during the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade.
The carnival, together with the earlier expo and parade float, forms part of the “A Tribute to Art Toys of Hong Kong” series funded by CCIDA. The initiative aims to highlight the creativity of local designers and promote cultural tourism by integrating home‑grown art toys and intellectual properties with tourism elements.
The venue is located at the South Pavilion Plaza of Victoria Park, near the park fountain and close to Windsor House in Causeway Bay.
