HKJC to stop offering horse racing, football or Mark Six betting services at off-site betting shops from 26th November

25th November 2020 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has been closely monitoring the latest development of the COVID-19 epidemic. In response to the rapid deterioration of the epidemic in recent days, in order to further protect the health and safety of employees and customers, the HKJC has decided that from 26th November, it will only open off-site betting desks on non-race days. Betting shops on race days will be closed and when they are open, customers can only redeem cash coupons or winning lottery tickets, open a betting account, make betting account deposits and other customer services until further notice.

Off-site betting offices will not provide horse racing, football or Mark Six betting services, nor will they broadcast live horse racing or football matches. Customers can use the telephone betting hotlines to place bets, and deposits can be made through the mobile application using FPS, EPS instant transfer service or PPS, and the bank bill payment service of Internet banking. If customers do not have online transfer facilities, they can use the mobile app or online betting area to register for FPS transfer services.
