19th February 2021 – (Hong Kong) The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has been closely monitoring the latest development of the novel coronavirus epidemic. As the epidemic eases, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has relaxed social distancing measures and allowed some listed premises to resume limited operations. After careful consideration of factors such as the operation of the off-site betting branches after the reopening and the needs of customers, HKJC has decided to open all off-site betting shops from 22nd February, 2021, and provide customers with horse racing and football betting services under strict public health measures. However, if there are confirmed COVID-19 cases in or near the “designated areas” designated by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, off-field betting offices will be temporarily closed.

Mark Six lottery betting services will not be provided at off-site betting offices. They will only provide horse racing and football betting services, betting account withdrawal, exchange of cash coupons or winning lottery tickets, opening or restarting of betting accounts. No live streaming of horse races or football matches to avoid crowds in off-site betting branches.

In addition to the service counter, customers can also use the Hong Kong Jockey Club e-wallet to place bets at the self-service ticket vending machine and must leave the off-site betting office after using the service. Strict public health measures will be implemented in the venue, including temperature checks, wearing masks, maintaining adequate social distance, regular cleaning and disinfection.
